Custom builds are often challenging but fun. I love to up-cycle or do restoration projects as well.
I built this custom gate to replace a broken down, white, plastic gate. The client had a similar wood gate on the property and wanted mine to match the stain color of their front door. It was built with Redwood with a dark Jacobean stain. It's 2"x6" mortise and tenon frame with tongue and groove panel inserts. The black carriage bolt heads are decorative.
The cargo latch to my 2006 Ford Explorer snapped. Ford no longer sells the part, so I 3D printed my own. I've even sold a few after posting my solution on the Ford Explorer message boards.
