Ames Creative offers consultation, design and fabrication services for custom items and prototypes. I also offer customization and restoration of existing items. All prices and delivery schedules are done on a per project basis.
About the Owner, John Ames
Ames Creative is my outlet to share my creativity and hopefully inspire others. As a creative person, I've found that I'm not happy unless I am creating something. Whether it's cinematography, writing, photography, designing, building or customizing, it seems I always have a project on my mind. I work on a wide variety of projects for clients and friends. I work mostly with wood and aluminum, but I always enjoy getting the opportunity to try out new materials and techniques such as CNC routing, 3D printing and laser engraving.

Here's one of my favorites. A custom fit camera hand grip fashioned out of a block of walnut. You can read about it at Insung Films blog. It's just something about the beauty of the wood grain and the organic lines that make it feel more like a sculpture than a hand grip. I had to do it justice with a table top photo session. |
